This case study examines a solar PV system we installed in 2015. The data provided is based on a smaller 4kW solar PV system, which is less common compared to more recent installations that benefit from advancements in solar technology that enable greater energy generation. We have presented the generation data from January 2025, despite the challenging weather conditions, including below zero temperatures, low clouds, and rain.
This data is compared to the energy production in June 2024, which was characterised by longer days and more sunlight. Additionally, we have included a chart that illustrates the solar system's lifetime production and performance from 2015 to 2025.

To conclude, the 4kW BlueBuild Solar System has demonstrated reliable performance over the past decade, even under challenging weather conditions. The data from January 2025 highlights the system's ability to produce energy efficiently despite freezing temperatures and low sunlight. When compared to the output during the sunnier month of June 2024, it is evident that the system maintains a commendable level of efficiency year-round. With a total lifetime production of 39.73 MWh from 2015 to 2025, this case study affirms the viability of solar energy systems, even smaller installations, in contributing to sustainable energy solutions.
